Character Order
It's not particularly a new idea, but it seems somewhere along the advancement of Guildwars it was left out. I'm talking about the order of your characters. Way back when it used to automatically put your characters in alphabetical order. But now, it's just all over the place. I think it would be nice to have that feature back. It wouldn't nessessarily make anything better, just keeps everything neat and crisp.

Even that is cool, but it just feels so incomplete to have my characters in no apparant order, as the game currently stands.
So what I am proposing is ATLEAST: Auto-Alpha Order
or if they would add a little extra: Custom Orders

This wouldn't realy be a big deal to add, so there isn't anything wrong with adding it, since it would take so little effort.
I would say that alphabetic order really isn't important, and some people may like it the way it is, as well some people may dislike alphabetic order.
If they add a function that can in any way sort your lineup, it should be manual. If alphabetic order is important to you, then you can alphabetize them, for someone like me, I would put the best looking ones in the middle, and the barly used ones on the sides, throwing a certain order in that some may like and others may dislike doesn't really accomplish much, if they don't allow people to order them the way they want, then they may as well leave out any order at all.
But yet again, this is a very insignificant issue, people don't spend time doing anything to their characters in the character selection, they just pick one and start playing, if it was some sort of equipment management and special functions were available on that menu, it might matter, but for what we use it for, it is very insignificant.

Oh I don't disagree with anyone on how insignificant it is. It's just something I randomly thought of the other day and decided to post on.

Natalie I don't mean for in game I mean at the character selection screen (when you first log in)
Although manual party ordering for leader would be cool for in game, and alphabetical would definately be pointless for that :P

Back with four slots, it was alphabetical. And I miss that. Yes, it's petty. Yes, it's rather pointless. Yes, I do care.
When I added the Factions key my two bonus slots were simply plunked down to the left of the existing ones. My beautiful order was ruined. Ruined! Aayla, Alyssa, Daneel, El Pardak, Ai, Vien... Granted it's only actually Ai that's out of place but it annoys me.

I said I understood that it was unessessary, however why is it pointless? It's a suggestion thread, and it was a suggestion I would liked to have seen. Making the game better isn't always about making new characters, and making skills. It could just be about cleaning up some parts of the game. Although it'd be an insignificant advancement, it'd be one nonetheless. Pardon me for posting my suggestion in the suggestion thread.

I would like to have it manual, some of us really like the order of our chars because we like them so much, so why not? It wouldnt take long AT ALL.

We have a long-running thread about this subject here. I could see how you may not find it with search since the title is vague, but it is referenced from the Index of Ideas. Please check there before you post to make sure your suggestion is something new.
